Happy Memorial Day!

I hope everyone had a fantastic and memorable weekend!  I got my shop all cleaned up & ready to make goods for the Astoria Market on June 12th!  Please come by and say hello, and receive an extra 10% off!

I will post an updated list/photobook for the items available that day & also for special order.

As you can see, my graphics are coming along thanks to Erin at Concept 2 Reality.  So, I'm just pecking away at everything and having a little fun in the meantime.

Stay tuned for more updates & have a fantastic day!

Friday!

Happy Friday, everyone!  I finished Baby Elvis' quilt, and I so excited as it was my first machine-stitched applique project!

I also finished Miss Mary's Placemats & Coasters Set for her birthday/graduation gift:

I hope she likes them!  I'm off to Milwaukee tonight & back on Monday, so I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Just Ducky & Easy Sailing!

I worked feverishly last night on finishing the NY placemats & coasters (pictures to come), and made Miss Charlotte her "Just Ducky" apron because she is in love with all things duck:

I just love Michael Miller's prints!

Then, I woke up early this morning to cut out the appliqued boats for Baby Elvis' quilt:

I'll finish attaching tonight & can't wait to see how it all looks!

Now, off to bind the coasters... Happy Thursday!

Beelightful!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!  What better way to spend my birthday then to make candles!  These are my beeswax "beelightful" candles... Love the colors!

Have a great Monday!

Take time to smell the roses...

I took a little posting break as I was away visiting friends for Mother's Day weekend.  I had been so busy making smocks that I forgot to take pictures!  Alas, I will make more.  Tonight's project is to cut out fabric for multiple smocks (hopefully to help ease along the assembly process), and possibly to cut out the boat applique for Baby Elvis' quilt.  I also need to practice my guitar for tomorrow night's gig, so we'll see which project wins out in the end.

For now, I will stop to sniff my beautiful birthday roses... Enjoy!

Pears & Pups!

I finished them!

Just when I thought I was never going to find the right fabrics at the City Quilter to tie together my pear placemats, I ended up finding exactly what I needed (right as the store was closing)!

I wanted to tie in chocolate brown with the pear green, so I used that for the binding...

I am in LOVE with the heat & bond applique!
And, to make it a little whimsical, I added some pups on the background:

What fun!

Now on to my next project... My house is overflowing with wonderful fabrics just begging to be stitched into something!

Happy Wednesday!

Placemats

I worked on making 6 of these squares for two placemats last night:

I will have to go to my favorite quilting shop (darn!) tonight after work and get a few more pieces of fabric to tie the mats together, some binding, and some applique items to finish it off.  Looking forward to seeing how they turn out!
Have a great Tuesday!

Baby Elvis Quilt

I worked on this baby quilt on Friday & Sunday evening, and am very happy with how it turned out:

I still need to add the applique boats to the front, but should be finished by this weekend.

Happy Monday!
