Lists...

I am a huge fan of lists.

I make them for nearly everything... from the grocery list

To lists for helping me organize my business:
Lists help me to see the big picture, but also clarify my intentions.  For some reason, by putting onto paper all of those pesky and annoying reminders humming through my head, I am able to lighten my load.  I can see what needs to be done, prioritize, plan, and feel like I have a handle on things.

It also helps me to see when I have too much on my plate & I need to cross off or redistribute items.

Putting your words onto paper can be powerful.  Hanging in my studio, one of my favorite quotes by Mary Anne Radmacher is "The most important promises are the ones you make to yourself."

Need some wordly inspiration?  Visit her site for her "tuckers" that you can put around your house, in your purse, in your car, wherever you feel you may need a moment of inspiration...

Cheers!

Crafts in Chelsea & Harvest Festival

What a whirlwind of a weekend (literally), but so much fun!

Here are a few photos for you to enjoy:

Here's some pics of my beelightful candles in & out of mason jars...

My feedsack 1/2 aprons swaying in the breeze...

And, here are some full cross-back aprons....

Folks seemed to like my hand-painted stenciled napkins, and my hand towels...

A lady at Atlantic Antic asked whether I made potato bags- so I got some fabric and stitched 'em up!

A farmers bib...

Halloween-themed canvas totes & feedsack totes...

I like to add a little feedsack to the tops of some of my mason jar candles...

Now, everything is packed away & I get to work on some new ideas for the holidays.  Can't wait to share with you!  I will be adding listings to my etsy shop, but feel free to drop me an email & let me know what you would like.  I'd be happy to make something especially for you!

Have a great week!

Photos & More!

As promised, here are some photos from this past Sunday:

And, my booth was perfectly situated next to a community garden plot!

Here are some close ups:

Here is a picture of my new holiday-inspired, quilted wine gift bags:

It's even got a gift card attached & ready for that last minute dinner party!  Two of the ones I made for Chanukah sold super quick- so I'll make more & post photos to etsy.

Today, I just got in these nifty lids for my mason jars:

[Forgive my messy studio- it is craft central right now & my notions & fabrics are in chaos!]

I really like both of these.   I ordered small batches of each, and will see how they do this weekend.

Of course, I'll have to gussy them up a bit before hand... I'm sure I can find something to get 'em ready for the ball (pun intended)!

Sweet crafting dreams!

And after...

Well, my second weekend of markets went extremely well.  The first innaugural Brooklyn Night Bazaar was a HUGE hit, with folks lined up around the block for hours just to get in!  I'll post pics later tonight, as I need to download them first, but it was truly a beautiful & magical experience.

So, today I'll share a new book I'm reading Hissy Fit:
Andrews' dialogue flows so well, and her sassy wit & knowledge of interior design is such a kick!  I'm thoroughly enjoying this book as I'm taking a semi-mental break from crafting today... So, as soon as I get home from the day job, I'll be curled up & reading this while watching my favorite Monday shows, American Pickers & Pawn Stars.  Monday doesn't seem so bad after all!

I'm itching to bake something too... maybe some comfort drop biscuits are in order???

Sunday Funday!

Normally, my Sunday Funday just consists of me putting on a ridiculous amount of Seahawks gear & rooting on my football team...
However, this Sunday Funday I am happy to share with the new Brooklyn Night Bazaar!

This event promises to be just plain awesome!  If you are out & about in Brooklyn, please come check it out!  The press has gone bonkers covering it from TimeOut, NYTimes, NBC, and more

I am busy making some special items just for this event, which I'll post later this week...

Here's a teaser:

Holiday-inspired, quilted wine bottle gift bags, anyone?
Holiday decorations made from recycled TimeOut magazines??
Or, how about whimsical quilted mug mats for some inspiration???

Stay tuned for photos & special deals just for BNB!

Atlantic Antic (October 2nd)

The Antic was a success!  I had a great time sharing my booth with Lady Three, and the weather and folks who came out were just awesome...

Here's some pics from our booth:

It ended up pouring rain about an hour before closing, but we all still had a great time & are looking forward to next year's festival!

Now, onto this coming weekend's festival... the Brooklyn Night Bazaar
